I've had this bag lying on the floor infront of my cozy chair for days. It's made of a fabric with a quirky cat print that I really like. I want it on more places. Like on my vest.
At first I thought it was a shame that i didn't have any of that fabric, until i realized that "Daaah! It is a textile bag for goodness sake!"
It had already been mended on one side, so it didn't feel so bad to cut one cat out.
So, here is some pictures of the process ^^
First I drew a box around the cat, to see where to cut. |
How the bag looks with it's new "hole" ;) |
And then it was time for my vest to get some of the action. I placed the cat where I wanted it, safe and secure with some needles. Instead of using folding and neat stitches, as on the bag, I decided to go for a more raw and fun look here.
A row of simple up-and-down running stitches around the shape of the cat and then some whip stitches around the edge. Tada! :)
